We are firm believers that energy is a human right. Energy is central to sustainable development and poverty reduction efforts, it affects all aspects of development -- social, economic, and environmental -- including livelihoods, access to water, agricultural productivity, health, population levels, education, and gender-related issues. None of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) can be met without major improvement in the quality and quantity of energy services in developing countries (UNDP). Access to sustainable sources of clean, reliable and affordable energy has a profound impact on multiple aspects of human development; it relates not only to physical infrastructure (e.g. electricity grids), but also to energy affordability, reliability and commercial viability. In practical terms, this means delivering energy services to households and businesses that are in line with consumers' ability to pay.
From numerous experiences, we found that "Energy poverty" falls hardest on women. If women, for example, had greater access to affordable clean cookstoves and solar lamps, they would no longer have the time-consuming and potentially dangerous task of gathering firewood far from home and would gain independence as breadwinners.
Driven by this belief Grün leben GmbH was founded in Germany, to assist the world's transition to a sustainable energy future, and to put our knowledge and expertise in service for the poor
Our vision is to leave a sustainable world for future generations and help the poor with renewable energy.
After his studies of Aerospace Technology at the Technical University of Munich, he has joined the Top Graduate Trainee Program Nuclear Technology and later the European Master in Renewable Energy developed by the European Renewable Energy Centers (EUREC) Agency at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg in Germany and at the University of Perpignan in France, where he had taken his specialization in Solar Energy (CSP) at PROCEDES, MATERIAUX ET ENERGIE SOLAIRE Research Center in Odeillo, France.
Our mission is to use our know-how and expertise to increase the access to clean energy to:
- Halve extreme poverty by facilitating economic development through access to sustainable energy services
